|From A Better Pet Sitter|
While puppies and kittens are absolutely adorable, there is a lot to benefit from a senior pet. For one thing, you don't have to potty train them. They are not complete balls of energy, constantly needing your supervision. They love to cuddle. And, they've learned a lot in their years and know how to act and react. They also seem more appreciative than their younger counterparts.
Senior pets are harder to adopt out than young ones. Therefore, in honor of November's Adopt a Senior Pet awareness, I'd like to give what little extra push I can to add exposure to the senior pet. If you or someone you know is looking to adopt a pet, go to PetFinder and search for "senior" to find your new oldie, but goodie companion.
Do you own a senior dog or cat? Send me a picture and I will post it here!
